REVIEW
1813 Tess Stanhope sat upon her stolen horse and waited in the rain for the unsuspecting travelers. She didn’t want to do it but she had no other options. There was no way she would end up the next wife to Percy Harrow. But her uncle was determined to marry her off to this hideous man. Tess had witnessed the horrible treatment Percy had bestowed upon his first wife. As she sat upon the horse in that pouring rain in the dark of night a single tear slid down her cheek. As she wiped it away she thought this scene was nothing like the ones she had read about in her books. And it just so happens that her first robbery just had to be that of Judge Wallace Pratley. While in the middle of holding up the carriage and pointing her gun a stranger happened upon and joined in with her on robbing the people in the wagon . She asked him who are you and simply said Lad we will do this together. What he thought her a Lad? So her costume had worked? Well everything kind of goes wrong and the next she knows the stranger is lying on his back in the mud with blood coming from his head. Tess knows she can not just leave him behind. She goes over and tries to get him into a sitting position . After a lot of arguing the stranger gives in and accepts the help and gets upon Tess’s horse behind her. He tells her they must find an Inn to stay in and tells her which directions to head into . Once at the Inn he orders them a room and just when Tess thinks she can take no more the Stranger up and lets it be known he knows she is not a Lad but a woman. She is so angry its just simmering in her gut. This stranger was a dangerous Highwayman in so many ways. Dangerous because Tess has felt an attraction since the moment the stranger aids in the robbery . Just where will this highwayman lead her? Can she continue to deny the attraction she feels. And just who is this Highwayman? Oh its not just any HighwayMan its Aiden Masters The Earl of Chandry .

This was a wonderful historical romance book . The author grabs hold of each piece and pulls you in.
