I quickly find my way to my
destination. The pool is something off of a magazine cover – a sleek black
rectangle, low lights. The place definitely has a romantic aura. I walk further
and see Ryan. He is standing near one of the lounge chairs discussing something
with Monique. The only piece of clothing he is wearing are swim trunks, and my
mouth goes dry. Holy Moses, without clothes he exudes a raw power.
I can’t help myself – my eyes
rake down his body, taking in every inch of hard, lean, defined muscle. I
examine the ridges of his torso, arms, chest, and defined six pack with precise
attention, liking that he is built, but not too bulky. I notice how Ryan’s swim
trunks hang low on the sinfully sculpted V-cut. There is a sexy little trail of
dark hair running from his belly button to the waistband of the trunks,
disappearing beneath suggestively.
Without my permission, my mind
goes to the place where I trace all the dips, ridges, and planes with my fingers,
and then my tongue.
I also notice the way Monique
stares at him with lust, but I can’t blame her. Ryan is truly gorgeous. I’m
filled with the urge to scratch her eyes out.
Before they can catch me
watching, I make my way to a lounge chair on the other side of the pool. I
don’t want to interrupt their conversation the way I did this afternoon.
Dropping my robe, I hear Ryan’s words, “Monique, as an owner of this hotel I
can assure you, we’ll be fine. If we need help, I’ll let you know.”
When I look their way, Monique
flashes me a curt smile before resuming batting her eyelashes at Ryan. “I can
assure you, if you let me join you, I can guarantee tons of fun.”
Trying to suppress an ugly roar of jealousy inside me, I
quickly make my way to the pool and dive in. The feeling of cool water against
my skin has never been more welcoming.
