In this story, we get Maksim' friend Tariq' story and when he smells his life mate inside his club all bets are off for this ancient warrior. Tariq and the other warriors know their life mates come in the form of human women with special abilities. Charlotte is a strong physic and she and her friend Genevieve have escaped Paris only to encounter even worse and the same beings that they escaped from.
Charlotte has heard of Tariq for his love of Carousel Horses as she worked with a restorer before Fredrik and his goons kill him and others.
Tariq has his hands full with children they rescued and they also are strong physics.
I loved this story we get so much action and seeing all the ancients who were thought to no longer be capable means we will get much more from the author.
I was gifted this book for my honest review.
