Nalia is an anomally. She has been raised by humans who train for the fight to come. She was abandoned by her parents and never really knew why exactly until she has to visit the coven the one who rejected her.
Vikas is a vampire who is nothing like the ones who are killing humans. He finds Nalia in the woods after a horrible thing has happened to Nalia and her companion.
War is a must, and it must be all hands on deck, so it's surprising when a few vampires lend their strength to Nalia and her village.
Nalia also learns exactly what she is. What a shock she gets.
I really enjoyed this story. It gives just enough romance and a whole lot of action.
